Super Bulky Crochet Bed Throw

I made this pattern by adjusting the lemon stitch to better suit those bulky yarns. I find those yarns, although so fun and fast (which I love!) to work with, a bit on the messy and disorganized looking side. So I knew that any pattern with a stitch bigger than a half double crochet was too much to blend and look tidy when done. Made specially for the bottom of my bed it not only serves as a nice layer with for those chillier nights, but its also a great opportunity to use color to play with the a room’s accent colors.

This pattern is so versatile and is absolutely great for beginners because you only need to know 2 stitches! I made mine a bit longer than the average lap throw because I wanted it to lay nicely at the bottom of the bed with a bit of overhang. But you can make yours exactly the size you would like.

Because of its thick cushy nature this pattern would be ideal to use as a floor playtime baby blanket. With 6 rows and 8 stitches of pattern equaling 4” x 4” , its easy to do less or more accordingly.
